Group Lessons
Would you like to learn piano and make new friends? If so, then a
group class is for you. T.J.’s introductory group class, entitled “Piano
Made Easy”, is a great first step towards lifetime musical enjoyment.
Taught with a group of small, portable keyboards, the class teaches
music reading, chords, rhythm and basic piano technique. Students
will learn from materials developed by T.J. that include songs
such as “Angels
We Have Heard on High”, “Love Me Tender”, “Ode
to Joy” and many more popular melodies. This class can be taught
in a group of up to seven people and is designed for beginning
piano students. If you have previous training in piano but don’t
remember much, then this may be a good class for you as well. Although
the class can be taught to any age level, it is better not to mix
children and adults. Children who wish to take this class must
have a parent with them at all times. “Piano Made Easy” can
be taught at almost any location since the keyboard lab is portable.
Since the inception of this class, T.J. has taught this course
at churches, in his home and at community education programs. The class
is taught in one hour installments over a seven week period.
In addition to “Piano Made Easy”, T.J. teaches
a number of other group piano classes based on interest. These classes
range from 2 to 5 students and usually focus on a particular style of music
such as jazz, hymns or rock.
